School Council 2021-22

School Council Badge Presentation

Meadow Bridge P.S enjoyed welcoming Mayor Stephen Martin on Friday 12 November to our Assembly.

Mr McCollum had invited the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh to present the badges to the successful candidates of the recent School Council election.

These pupils were elected from P4 - P7 classes and all ran successful campaigns. Cllr Martin reminded them of their duty to represent their classmates and to work together successfully to achieve positive results for the Meadow Bridge school community. There was a clear message of 'listen and be kind' when in these positions of responsibility.

Once Assembly had finished, the School Council had some photos taken and then the Mayor even let Mr. McCollum try on his Mayoral necklace. Take a look at the slideshow below to see the fun they got up to!

School Council Election 2021

Our School Council Election Day was held on Thursday 15th October. Every pupil in P4 - P7 had a vote and they had to carefully consider the candidate's presentations and manifestos before casting their vote into the ballot box.

It was a special day for democracy in Meadow Bridge Primary School and we look forward to seeing the work of the newly elected representatives this year.

We are proud to announce that these boys and girls are the representatives for this school year:
