Ulster Hockey Tournament - Girls' Hockey

On Tuesday, the girls’ hockey team competed in the Ulster Hockey McCloy cup which was held at Friend’s School Lisburn.

The girls did their school proud, behaving impeccably throughout the day. Although we didn’t make the semi-finals, it was a close call. With the girls having beaten Ballynahinch 3-1, Killowen 1-0 and losing to Moira 2-0, we needed to win our last match against Friends. In a well fought battle the match ended 0-0, with Meadow Bridge narrowly missing out on semi-final qualification after hitting the post. We also went on to beat Riverdale in the cross-over match 1-0. A huge well done to all the girls involved and thank you to Mr. McCaw for providing us with transport.
